The founder of BMW is known as Karl Friedrich Rapp and the meaning of BMW for those who don’t know stands for the Bayerische Motoren Werke which is German for Bavarian Motor Works. The company was founded in the year 1916 and was a successor to the company Rapp motors.
Many associate the blue and white logo as a spinning white propeller seen in the background of the blue Bavarian sky. This maybe one of the reasons but the truth is that the blue and white comes from the Bavarian flag which is a state in the Germany.
